Saint Felipe Neri's oratory and The Pepa at La Isla de Leon

Another of our visit that we did in Cadiz ( our last stop) it was  Saint Felipe Neri's oratory. Although actually is an oratory it had an important  meaning at 1812 refering to the Constitutionc of 1812.

As we know at 1810 in Cadiz  they weren't do any meetings because of some illness and they had to do their meetings in Isla de León ( San fernando nowadays) where there was all the meetings of that event . They they signed and swore the constitution at the school-convent called Compañia de María. It wanted to end the Ancient regime .

Later, at 1812 they went again to Cadiz  where they did their meetings  ai Saint Felipe Neri's Oratory. Where finally   they signed and swore the Constitution of 1812 on the 19 of march 1812. They called colloquially La Pepa  because the signed at the day of Saint José. The civizens  for  proclaim her happiness the said  : viva la pepa!

Saint Felipe Neri's oratory  has a circular floor. Formed for a big high where we can found with 3 differents balconies. Its depends of your social class the type of balcony that you had of better or worse views of the meeting.
When we went to Cadiz . A guide touristic explained to us  another version of the text that we expleained before and with a short video  we can watched what has happened at that time.
